Which leads me to this… I am very pleased and excited to officially announce that my next television scoring project will be “Flesh & Bone” for Starz, from Breaking Bad writer/producer Moira Walley-Beckett. It should start airing Spring of next year. The photo is of Moira and I on the set in the East Village of NYC a few weeks ago. You can learn more about it in my interview with Jon Burlingame (see above).
I’m very proud to have been named ASCAP’s Best TV Composer for 2013 last night at the ASCAP Film and TV Music Awards, alongside Bear McCreary. There is no greater feeling than to be recognized by your peers. Thank you!
More vinyl news! Volume TWO of my Breaking Bad score soundtrack is now available in picture disc format! As with volume one, the track listing is identical to the CD/iTunes release. And just like volume one, this picture disc version is available exclusively at Hot Topic, either online or in store. Very limited edition!

I am very humbled and honored to have been nominated by my peers as ASCAP’s “Best TV Composer of 2013” alongside 4 super talented composers. There is also a separate category for “Best Film Score.” This is the first time that ASCAP has offered these awards. If you are an ASCAP member, I strongly encourage you to vote… we have needed an award like this for our community for a very long time to equal the awards voted on by the guilds of our compatriots at the DGA (directors), SAG (actors), ACE (editors) etc. You must be an ASCAP writer member to vote, but if you are, I hope you will take few seconds to vote for your favorite and support the process!
