Never sign a murder confession without having your realtor look it over first. New #DocumentaryNow airs tonight at 10PM.

Friends in Europe! I will be in Germany in a few weeks to check out the Soundtrack Cologne conference, and give a talk/interview for those attending. I’m sure I’ll be discussing my score from Breaking Bad, The Blacklist, Better Call Saul, and more… but if you plan on attending, let me know what you’d most like to hear about. The event is from August 19-23rd, and I’ll be speaking on Saturday the 22nd. Hope to see you there!

Esquire Interviews Dave Porter To Discuss Score to “Better Call Saul”

I recently spoke with Esquire.com about the score for “Better Call Saul,” and we talked a little about my journey to find a new musical palette that would be entirely different from “Breaking Bad.” The interview includes a streaming audio version of a piece I wrote for the BCS pilot called “Magic Hands.”

The season one finale of Better Call Saul airs next Monday night. Read the full interview on Esquire.Better Call Saul Esquire Interview with Dave Porter

“The Blacklist” Earns Highest Ratings Since Last Year’s Academy Awards

From today’s Variety:

Following post-game coverage, a special episode of “The Blacklist” earned series-high ratings (8.7 in 18-49, 26.5 million viewers overall). These are the best numbers for any entertainment telecast since last year’s Academy Awards on ABC, and this is the most-watched scripted telecast on NBC since the night of the “Friends” finale in May 2004.

First Recording Session for “Flesh and Bone”

Two things that will never stop being magical to me: A) setting foot on movie studio lots and B) getting to record my music in hallowed recording studios. Last week was my first session for Moira Walley-Beckett’s “Flesh and Bone” (Starz.) United (formerly Ocean Way) Studio B on Sunset Blvd. Thanks to James Saez for the pics and for driving that Neve.
