Dave Porter announces the complete Breaking Bad Deluxe Edition Original Score on vinyl

I’m told that tonight’s new episode of Better Call Saul marks the 100th episode of the Breaking BadBetter Call Saul universe, which feels like a good moment to make my final special announcement related to our 10th anniversary celebrations that have been going on all year.

I’m pleased to announce that with lots of help and dedication from the folks at Sony (looking at you Tony Scudellari) and Madison Gate Records we are releasing a truly comprehensive collection of my score from Breaking Bad. Yes, everything ever released. Includes all the early stuff from the original song and score CD, everything from volumes 1 and 2, plus all the extras that came in the “greatest hits” compilation from Comic Con this year. For those that always ask, no, there is nothing left in the vault. And I don’t imagine there will ever be anything more to come from the original series.

This release is a vinyl only, limited edition, 4 disc set with all of my notes from the previous releases wrapped up in some very clever comic-book inspired packaging…and of course, on blue vinyl. It will be available in a few days, but can be pre-ordered right now:

For those that have been waiting and asking me — this is the one – don’t miss out. Thanks to everyone who helped it all come together… and a final happy 10th anniversary to Breaking Bad!

And don’t miss the final episodes of Better Call Saul season 4, which are absolutely magnificent.

Thanks so much for everyone involved, especially at Madison Gate Records and Spacelab9 for helping it look and sound so great. And big thanks to my man James Saez for the help on the 10th anniversary remix –

Breaking Bad cast reunites for 10th anniversary since season 1 and Better Call Saul debuts at San Diego Comic-Con 2018

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the airing of the first season of Breaking Bad, and among other celebrations there will be a reunion of sorts next week at Comic-Con in San Diego. I will be there for the event, and also there to support both Better Call Saul and Preacher. I’m also pleased to announce that we will be releasing a special edition vinyl of my score from Breaking Bad beginning at Comic-Con which is a collection of some favorites from back in the day, and of course a few new things. More info on that at the bottom of this Entertainment Weekly article, and I’ll post a pre-order link shortly. Hope to see many of you there the end of next week –

Breaking Bad turns 10

Back in the studio today after the holidays and some time off to celebrate The Disaster Artist and wishing everyone a belated Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe, but 2018 marks the 10 year anniversary of the airing of the pilot episode of Breaking Bad. AMC has been running a marathon of the show on the weekends and we’ve got a bunch of special commemorative things planned over the course of the year. And of course Better Call Saul has begun production on season 4 and we look forward to bringing that to you later this year as well. I’ll post all of the 10th anniversary info here as soon as I hear about it. Here’s to a year of good health and sanity for all.
